Rippin kitten – A motorcycle tour across Europe provides an unforgettable experience, especially when crossing beautiful countries like Italy and Croatia. Below is the story of our exciting journey from Italy to Croatia on motorcycles.
Our journey started on August 30, 2018, with a group of ten people from various regions of Indonesia. We flew into Milan, Italy, and upon arrival, picked up our rental bikes. We rode several types of motorcycles, including BMW GS and Ducati Scrambler, all ready for our adventure. Began our first leg of the trip toward Pisa, passing through the stunning coastal roads of Genoa. Although it rained at the start, the weather forecast predicted it would clear up by 10 AM and it did! We had lunch in the mountains, which offered breathtaking views before continuing our journey toward Pisa.

In Pisa, we took time to enjoy the iconic city, famous for the Leaning Tower and other historic landmarks. Then, we continued our ride to Siena, a city rich in medieval architecture and history. We stayed in a 13th-century castle that had been renovated, perched atop a hill with spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards. Our journey continued through gravel roads that provided a thrilling yet rewarding driving experience.
After exploring the beauty of Italy, we moved on to Ancona to board a ferry to Split, Croatia. The ferry ride took about 10 hours, crossing the Adriatic Sea. Once we arrived in Split, we continued our journey to Dubrovnik, one of Croatia’s most famous cities, known for its ancient city walls and rich history. From Dubrovnik, we ventured into Montenegro, passing through stunning mountains and national parks.
This motorcycle tour was not just about riding bikes; it was also about soaking in the beauty of nature, history, and culture in each city we visited. Every moment of the journey provided unforgettable experiences, full of both challenges and the sheer enjoyment of the ride.
