Myrtle Beach bike rally is no more…again…According to Carolina Harley-Davidson Dealers Association, it’s being completely moved out of S. Carolina to New Bern, N. Carolina. I can’t find any additional info to substantiate the information, but I’ll be sure to keep my eyes open. THE CAROLINA HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALERS ASSOCIATION 2009 SPRING BEACH RALLY SITE HAS [...]

I’ve had a ballbuster of a week battling the flu and juggling my work load (what’s a sick day?) and can finally take a breath and get a post out to you guys. About a week ago I read an article that said the spring rally in S. Carolina is not neccessarily dead after all. [...]

Yesterday we talked about the demise of the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally. Like I mentioned, I’ve only been to that rally once and found it pretty fun. I met a few interesting people and tested myself riding the 1000 miles there and back. There was some mixed reaction to the City of Myrtle Beach shutting [...]

What’s up with the Myrtle Beach bike rallies? Arguments are still raging between residents and the rally supporters. Unfortunately it does appear that the days of the May rallies are numbered. Residents argue that the noise that comes with the rallies keep them awake at night and actually costs the area money rather than making [...]

The 85th annual Laconia Bike Week came one week late this year, but was still chocked with what we’ve come to expect of bike week; bikes, rain, heat, rain and more rain. We could only spare time for day trip this year (my stinky new job is eating into all my fun “me” time) and [...]

The big recent news is that Myrtle Beach’s city council (and some residents) want to end the annual motorcycle rallies. The council passed a new property tax increase, and the extra money will go toward efforts to stop the bikers from coming next year. Also, a motion was passed to cancel any city contracts with [...]
