Well, let’s see….
1,000 USD buys me a set of cams with gaskets and pushrods for my Street Glide.
So no way for me to spend that money in a retro helmet.
I own two of each: (me and old lady)
Shoei RF-1000 Picotte Full Face
HJC FS-2 Open Face
so not afraid of spending money in helmets.
But, 1,000 greenbacks for what is mostly a fashion statement!

This is a pretty example of style vs. function, although like randomevent said, it all looks good on paper. If they were cheaper I wouldn’t mind just having one to display on my shelf rather than my head!

A pretty partial helmet won’t protect your pretty face. But then again, these folks are French, so perhaps having a full-face helmet is outre.

Por moi, I’ll take a good-quality full face helmet at half the cost any day.

I agree they’re very pretty and the engineering sounds good on paper. I suppose if I were in that tax bracket that allowed me these luxuries I might consider it. Maybe. Or if I was in a Japanese biker gang…
