Hey Girl… it will be okay. You sound like you know what’s up in your life and it will come to you. You are young and it will bring you plenty… I am 55 this year and change turned my life around at age 50. Change is good and you got it together. Aw man, sorry to hear about that… I don’t think there’s anyone out there who isn’t worried about the same thing (a layoff) happening to him/her right now too.

This could be your shot to really turn it on for this site though – so you’re definitely on target there.

I know exactly where you are at. I’m in the same industry. I’m out. I’m not doing it anymore and moving on. This is the second time this has happened to me and I’m done. 2001 and now. The first time around I started my coffee shop as a backup.

It’s time to re-invent yourself. It happens. I did all the apple demos for the retail outlets for years and HP as well. It sucks because I sort feel like a rock star that nobody listens too anymore…lol! (They should do a series on VH1, “Behind the media”. Just go kick ass and this is the time that really will set you apart from the rest. I’m trying to decide where to go next myself. If I come up with something I’ll know where to go.

Thanks for all the support you guys. While it doesn’t feel great to be let go from my job I guess I’ve just come to terms with it and am looking forward to the next step. We’re trying to think of it as a blessing in disguise. It would be great to be able to survive as a freelance designer (or full time blogger!) and this is sort of the kick in the pants I guess I needed to actually go through and do those things, rather than wonder what it would be like to do those things.

And for the record, this blog WILL remain a motorcycle blog. I promise I won’t start blogging about celebrity gossip or fashion week! My plans are mainly to give it a fresh coat of paint and tack on some shiny goodies!

And yeah, rockin’ the pole is not in the plans for moonlighting either!

Well, not having a “real” job can suck, and it can be a blessing… your blog rocks and you had better keep it up or the whole family will pile into the sidecar rig and come kick your ass. Well, we will drive up, park in front of your place, and make some seriously threatening gestures at least…
Look on the bright side… now you and your ol’ man can meet us in the midwest and we can ride any direction we choose.

Always sucks to lose your job, but at least you were mentally prepared for it. I’m with D-Day, as long as it stays motorcycle centric, you’ll keep this reader.

Got me excited for a minute there with the pole action. Made me think that your career path was going to take a drastic turn. LOL!

Sorry to hear about the job situation. There’s been a lot of that going around the past few months. Hopefully it will turn out for the best.
As long as the blog stays motorcycle based, I will continue to follow it.
