Sons of Anarchy season 2 update

For those of us who eagerly wait for the next season of Sons of Anarchy to come about, we will take any little scrap of news about the upcoming second season.

Kurt Sutter recently posted an update on his blog about the progress of writing for season 2:

I’ve finished a draft of the first script and my writers are in the process of writing 202 and 203. We’ve broken the first four episodes and have a pretty solid handle on the arc of the season. Two weeks ago, I pitched the big ideas to the network and they loved them. It’s cool when your boss is also a fan of the show. I don’t just get “that’s good for the network”, I get “that’s great shit for the show”. They had very few notes on the first script, so we are off to a good start with the story-telling. My hope is to have four scripts approved by the time we start production at the end of April.

Obviously, I can’t give anything away, but I as I’ve said in a few interviews, this season is all about alliances. We are going to explore and exploit the bonds we have with our brothers, our family, our country and our god. As I was writing this first script, I smiled when I realized that I get to channel all my twisted Catholic angst into a show about men who play God. I love my fucking job.

Still uncertain exactly when season two will air. A lot depends on FX’s development slate. I will keep you posted.

It’s always a good sign when the writer himself is giddy with twisted excitement!

I have been waiting for the 2nd season of SOA. My boyfriend & I got hooked on it the first time it came on. I find it amazing some of the comments on here made about bikers, tennis shoes & a bunch of other ridiculous crap. This show is for entertainment purposes. We ride my boyfriends Nighttrain & have a blast. It isn’t a fashion statement you make when you ride, it IS about the freedom you feel & the wind in your face.

I party with a few clubs near Detroit but am not in one myself. I love the show but i have to agree, NO ONE WEARS WHITE SHOES…… I have been wearing black boots since my early teens. all my buddies wear black boots. If we see someone with white shoes there is a good chance he’ll get his ass beat just for the fun of it!!

This show Really portrays and sheds light on alot, and to be honest… I’ll keep watchin because it’s like the show is documentin my life as well as others.. It is what is, against the wind, or in to it… H.F.F.H

I like the show, better than most of the garbage out there. Many things are grounded in a form of reality, however many of the happenings and involvements are not. Clubs are different, in some clubs women have no standing or say, in others they do. This is obviously a show with stories and information from a lot of different sources and it is entertainment, are you not entertained? Enjoy the show for what it is, it has motorcycles in it for God sake!!! and it is something that I can understand and enjoy whether or not it is completely accurate.

I’ve been around bikers all my life too, and there’s just enough “Hollywood” in SOA to keep it interesting–that element of danger is cool for the testosterone crowd and HOT as hell for all us women who would luv to be Jax’s Old Lady/Biker bitch/broad…hell, that man could call me anything he wanted whether he’s wearing those notorious white sneaks, boxers, briefs, or……..Whew, I gotta go for a while…….

  7. I can tell you first hand the only fucks that ride wearing tennis shoes are wanttabeeeessssss. I am a President of a MC. I would send my Sgt @ Arms to rip the patch off one of my guys if they wore shorts and tennis shoes. I know the HAMC do have people wearing Shoes and shorts that work along side them. A true biker would not be caught in shoes/shorts. But i do like the show alot for the story line is good. Digger

  8. Vonya says:

Okay Digger, maybe I should have been clearer on the whole “boxers or briefs”–I wasn’t referring to regular shorts–and hey, I’d be good if “Jax” went commando….really good. (Whew, it’s hot in here again…..)
But, seriously, I can’t stand folks riding in shorts and sneaks–it looks dorky as hell and it’s unsafe, so the “bonus” is some of those who ride that way won’t be around to do so for very long.
