Just a friendly reminder that “Sons of Anarchy,” the new show on FX channel featuring actors Charlie Hunnam, Ron (Hellboy) Perlman and Katey (Peg Bundy) Sagal, premiers tonight at 10 pm.
Here’s a quick reminder of what the show is about:
“FX Network’s new original series, Sons of Anarchy, is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that. Charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC’s familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. The seduction of money, power, and blood.”
If you’re totally anxious for the premier and want to pump yourself up before the show, FX has jam-packed the SoA section of their site with all sorts of goodies: including information about the cast & crew, blogs, downloadable wallpapers for your computer and a few other fun things.
So make sure to set your Tivo or DVR if you’re not going to be around tonight to watch it! I can’t wait to hear what you guys think!

Show was pretty good. I’ll stick with it for the season. One thing got me, though. They need to do something about the bikes. The stock Harleys look so out of place. Just doesn’t seem right for the bikes in a MC to look the same.

Bill D…I totally agree. I was like…what’s with the Dynas?? They need David Mann inspired choppers…now that would really add a bit of realism to this show that is starting out to be a little hoo-hum.

I finally got to watch the show today. I didn’t think it was that bad, although I think it is very similar to the Sopranos.
My nit-picky gripes: the bikes are all too uniform (so are the helmets that all the guys wear), their “colors” look too clean and white and the fake tattoos are a little lame.
But overall, I think the show is very watchable. It’s not breaking any new ground, but it’s gritty and violent and the characters aren’t too flat and stereotypical. And Katey Sagal’s character is one mean bitch!

Hey my ol man has been a club for years, this show or should I say farce is just another attempt to exploit a reputation of the outlaw biker image. I started to watch it but got board about a third of the way into it. I think the show is not worth the hype. Also the reality factor of this wanna be show is way out there, like in the real world the fed’s would have already been all over the gun running thing. Also a half a dozen guys on bikes wouldn’t even make a chapter where I come from. It’s a joke…
