I’m sure you guys have seen this Sturgis widget on multiple motorcycle blogs across the web. I’m happy to post it on mine as well because I think it’s important to stir up excitement for one of the largest motorcycle rallies of the year. If you have a blog or a social network profile out there, feel free to grab the code for the widget and post it on your own profile as well.
One of the more exciting bits of news for Sturgis this year is that mother-f*ing KISS (and Kenny Chesney) will be headlining each of the Rock’n the Rally shows! I’m so, so SAD that I cannot go this year. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t!

With performers like KISS and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith Sturgis will be rockin all day and night, I cannot wait to check it out! And if this is one of KISS last shows you’re definitely not going to miss the show.
I recently started working for progressive motorcycle insurance and I have been finding out more about the whole motorcycle culture. It’s so cool. Not only will KISS be there, but the Governor has proclaimed Monday as KISS ROCK AND ROLL DAY! Here’s the announcement from http://www.kissonline.com.
The classic rock band KISS will appear at Glencoe Campground/Rock’n the Rally on August 4 to accept a proclamation from Governor Mike Rounds, presented by Sturgis Mayor Maury LaRue, prior to their concert.
WHAT: A proclamation to make August 4 KISS Rock and Roll Day in South Dakota.
WHERE: Backstage at Glencoe Campground/Rock’n the Rally – Sturgis, S.D.
WHEN: August 4, 2008
WHY: KISS has tirelessly supported the United States military, and has visited numerous American military bases around the world to meet the troops, sign autographs and show their support for the military.
This is the band’s 35 year anniversary, and this will be their first time playing the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
