Video Tuesday: 1930’s motorcycle hill climb

Posted by Lizzie on April 15th, 2008

This is awesome, vintage footage of motorcycle hill climbs filmed somewhere in California in the 1930’s. I love watching this and seeing how bumpy the rides are up the hill. These guys were nuts.

Great video, I love stuff like that. They really were nuts doing stuff like that on those old hard tails. I hope they at least had decent hemorrhoid ointment back then. Ouch!

Good stuff! They have a hill-climb like this not too far from my house every summer. They do it at one of ski resorts so the hill gets pretty steep at times.

I have yet to see a hill climb in person. I know the bikes are more tailored for the climb these days, which seems to take the fun out of things, but I still think it would be fun to watch!
