So you can install the Vibe-rider in the passenger seat, but I’m sure it can be added to the rider’s seat, too! Saddle up!

My first time

Posted by Lizzie on April 4th, 2007

I have always been into motorcycles in one way or another. My dad had one when I was little. I remember that he would put me on the seat in front of him and coast down our hilly driveway much to my delight. As a teenager with pages from magazines plastered all over my walls, the Calvin Klein ad campaign with Carré Otis really resonated with me.

Seeing images of a gorgeous woman on her motorcycle was something I wasn’t used to seeing, but found inspiring.

Launching Rippin-Kitten.com

Posted by Lizzie on April 3rd, 2007

Rippin-kitten.com is being started because I’m frickin’ frustrated with biker culture and how it approaches female riders. I’ve been riding for a few years now and it’s obvious that there are more and more women of all ages riding their own bikes-which is awesome!

So what’s my problem?

My problem is that not all of us are typical, fringe-wearing “lady bikers” who’s nickname is “Gypsy.” I am not a lesbian or a feminist with a chip on my shoulder out to prove myself to the world. I’m not middle-aged and out there to empower myself after being divorced. Definitely not an “outlaw” or a badass that belongs to any kind of riding club. (And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with women riders who are any of those things.) It’s just not who I am. I just like to ride and have fun and experience life from my motorcycle. And I think there are more chicks out there who feel like me.

So who am I and what do I want?

I’m a cool-ass chick looking for other ass-kicking chicks that ride (boys are invited, too, if they behave). Those who are looking to obliterate the perception of what a “biker chick” is just by being themselves (and who want to ride motorcycles instead of posing on them). Let the boys keep their trophy girls who are content to ride on the backs of their bikes. But let’s make them drool over us cute girls who ride our own and make ‘em wish that they were the riding next to us.

Now its your turn.

I know you guys are out there so sound off with your comments, download the RSS or e-mail me!
